If it's gona have a stainless steel lockbar add on & three spacers that require 2 males each down the handle that's a lot of possible rust. Plus I like Chris Reeve grease in my pivot but after one disassembly & now we got a blade that's off centered & stiff along with a goofy lock up now. Plus one screw is stripped & we used teflon tape between the screw head & tool just for security! Spyderco knew about the stop pin that's why those two screws had a mess of locktite. Bottom line is a Para 2 & especially a Sage 2 are leagues above the construction quality of this knife. Next to a Strider the little screws on a military look like Boker China stuff... Can't recommend a knife that can't be maintained properly especially if it's s30v & you get it to rust or dirty from outdoor use & then you'll strip your screws after a couple breakdowns.

Note: when I said stainless steel lock up I meant the new plate that's on the lockbar I am aware that it's a titanium bar

  • This is the best reveiw on a Spyderco or any other knife i have seen. basically what a "reveiw" should be like. Thanks for the great info. Hope you keep it up!!!

  • @colubrid2 wow thanks when I get to this older vid & see there's a comment in my inbox I worry cuz people really like their knives lol I talk to guys that customize this knife & say the screws are crappy & even eric glesser at the USN show said their next knives coming out they are aiming for better hardware. The japan smaller screws are good though for some reason.

  • Ok, Shitty knife. Can I buy it from you for $100? :)

  • @MrVegaslive hell yeah you can email me!

  • You void your warranty by taking the knife apart. It's a pillar construction for a reason. You can deep-soak it in warm, soapy water, and air blast it dry. Then get some Tuff-Glide with a needle applicator, and precision lube it. I use my fluted-ti in the field everyday, have used it in muddy, wet, dusty, dry, and everything it between and that cleaning method has worked everytime. I have no pitting, rust, or any other oxidation.

  • @xDEMONIZEDx Wow thanks I will try this. It may suck only if I can't get to air blast dry it if I'm out for an extended period. But thisis good tips for if it's an edc that goes home with you hmm.... thank you
