there are handmade bogu and machine bogu, i think for this one, it's quite different

If most of the equipment material is from futon & leather, can it be made from other material? like jeans or layered kanvas...

I'm not saying it's not a grass, I'm saying it contains wood. it is made of wood.

Nope bamboo is of the Poaceae familiy (aka true grass). It is of no relation to any wood families. So in all technicality to be called a "wood" it would have to belong to one of the woody families.

I go to classes bout twice a week, and try my best to go to 'open' practice in the weekends! Been doing Kendo for seven months, I'm a big guy so will have to have my Boju 'custom' made later this year. Hopefully!! Great videos very interesting
