In May of 2007, Sen. Mike Gravel became the first 2008 Presidential Candidate to endorse a presence in the virtual world of Second Life. This is a video tour (undertoned by very cheesy music) of the headquarters in Second Life.

  • I love Gravel... and...I will vote for him and I'm attempting to convince others to vote for him as well....but... the title of this video SUCKS! "a virtual campaign" as if to suggest that there isn't a real / physical campaign? Sorry don't like it.

    GRAVEL 08!!

  • Well, we fixed it just for you!

  • I am a Gravel fan. Can we give ourselves a cool name? Something like The Gravelites or The Gravelians or The Gravelists or The Gravelonians.... Gravelicious!

  • The group title has recently been 'Gravel Rocks!' but that can change! I'm partial to the Gravelonians.

  • To put it simply. If Gravel doesn't win we are all doomed. We need to help this man into office. He bankrupted himself to keep his non profit organization to give the american people direct democracy. We need this kind of determination based on principles to leaad us out of this whole were in.

  • This Man embodies everything that I love about this country.

    I'm 26 years old. A male.

And when it comes to the character and courage and honesty and strong leadership we need in the white house, Mike Gravel is above and beyond the rest.

    Mike Gravel 08!

  • gobbledygookie from 1 year ago: I totally agree with you!

  • Mike Gravel is an inspiration

  • How in the world is that self-deprecating?

  • Awesome, I'm there right now! it's too bad you guys are taking it down :(

  • Haha!

Honesty was more like it. And you must admit, it IS very cheesy music.

  • Almost every libertarian I've ever met is hugely oppossed to megacorporations. Maybe Raegan and greenspan were libertarians, but that is not a valid argument. If you don't see what's wrong with that, let me make a similar (but bolder) one: "hitler supported vegetarianism and was a vegetarian, therefore vegetarianism is evil"

The fact is, corporations sink their money into republican and democratic candidates, not libertarian candidates.

  • Greenspan calls himself a libertarian. Ronald Raygun fancied himself a libertarian (privately of course). Raygunner appointed Greenspan. Ron Paul was endorsed many times over the yrs by Rayguns.

  • "This is a video tour (undertoned by very cheesy music) of the headquarters in Second Life."

Hah, self-deprecating. That's what we need in the White House!

  • Very dramatic and very cool !!

Gravel's Presidential Campaign is turning out to be unique. More Power to Sen. Gravel !!!
