  • I think her name is Salma Hayek, not Selma Hayek. Derp.

  • Everytime I watch this video I die and then go back to life. I feel so identified.

  • I love the tilt of the camera, the simple stark furnishings and rooms, the frequent returns to her cutting her hair, the fact that there is little dialog, and the music is perfect! I think it is supposed to represent an injury to her sense of self as a desirable, lovable woman, and how the two most important people in life could turn out to be traitors. Painful to watch though!

  • in istanbul,,

  • Love it ♥!

  • I love this scene, and Paloma Negra is such an amazing song, it always makes me cry. This scene and song pretty much describes how I feel right now and it makes me happy that my oldest brother calls me "Magocha" since we both love this movie ♥ ^_^ (my names Maggie/alcoholic beverage)...

  • Chevela Vargas actually knew Frida Kahlo and had an affair with her. Fitting for the movie and might be a first I think.

  • The singer of this version of Paloma Negra actually knew Frida Kahlo and had an affair with her. Fitting for the movie and might be a first I think.

  • VIVA FRIDA! :)

  • ....love that film & the song......"bLACK Dove"......hmm.....(Powerful,sad,PAINFUL scene).....LOVEd Frida Kahlo's paintings before I even seen the movie,....Salma HAYEK did a beautiful job as Frida,.....even thou' I never met the artist, I could feel thats how the woman was as Hayek's energy came off screen.
