Here, flying across a stormy abstract sky, is my rendition of a Griffin, the half-lion, half-eagle, mythical beast - that's also the source of my family name. Over the years Ive seen hundreds of versions of these creatures in books, on TV and in advertising. Ive also read of many different descriptions of their characteristics and powers.
Sometimes Griffins are described as doing terrible things such as carrying people off to their nests to feed to their young. Usually though, Griffins are described as being very regal - the best description Ive read of them says Griffins are the guardians of all knowledge for the children of the world.
The soundtrack is a post-modern, Darious Milhaud-inspired composition of mine. I initially performed it live on a keyboard, sending the MIDI (musical notes) data into a computer. Then, after minimal editing, I manually split up the raw performance into separate musical instrument parts, and then entered them by hand, one at a time, onto staff paper. Then I manually entered these into a notation program, assigned the appropriate sounds to the parts, and recorded the playback of the notation program.

@cupcupcuppie You can't because a lion is a mammal and a eagle is a marsupial? I forget what you call birds.
