In this video we cover how to uncompress your router images. When your images are uncompressed, your labs will load MUCH faster.

To do this in Linux, watch this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=at0WLBeNQsM

  • @routergods Actually, I discovered that GNS3 runs better in Linux. I can run 7 routers on my netbook using Ubuntu 10.04 32bit. However, it is kinda hard to find the *idle PC thing. Anyways it works now.

  • @123456iambelial - Good job... I actually just posted a video on how to do it.

  • @123456iambelial Never mind I figured it out.

  • Hi,

How do you uncompress the IOS on Ubuntu 10.04?

I tried to do it like in Windows, but I don't have an option to decompress the IOS.

    Thanks
