Oops, I meant giong nam at 1:22!

Got invited to give a guest lecture at the University of Texas at Austin to the Vietnamese Language Program class. It was fun! Here's a sneak peek of my Hue accent.

  • @apocq Haha, well this has got to be the best unintended compliment ever. :p I was actually born in America, Dallas, Texas to be exact. I've always been really in tune with my Vietnamese culture and enjoy speaking, reading, and writing in Vietnamese. :)

  • Vietnamese pride :)

  • FEEEEEEELLLLLSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • so proud of you that you still keep that viet culture , not many viet people born here can do that

    :)

  • From what I understand, there are VN communities in Australia and many Souther CA that have VN language programs for the kids. I think this is great and being bilingual should be seen as an asset!

  • Good for you Allyn! I'm glad that you can speak, read, and write in VN. I often see too many VN Americans who either came here when they were really young, or born here, yet they don't know any VN at all or very little of it. And most of it is due to either being ashamed of their heritage and wanting to assimilate and also not having access to VN learning or encouragements from parents.

  • You're very beautiful.

  • You're pretty and intelligent! :) I learned something!

  • cute ;] r u single?
