Nicholassz is right. I use Vinters Reserve kits and you must follow the instructions exactly. These instructions say to stir the lees back into the wine.... Great vid Nic.

Wow. You are either very brave or experienced to do all of that stirring with the wine so close to the top. I would have expected a volcano of foam. I like the video and learned something. Thanks.

We have a lot in common. I make wine and also play a (pre Gibson) Original Hound dog dobro. Both square neck and round neck. Actually still learning to play.

Why didn't you rack it first, then de-gas then clarify? The racking would help de-gas and the lees wouldn't be stirred up.

the clarifiers we're using are more effective binding to a lot of the lees and other loose particles... + that's what the winexpert instructions said :-)
