The four on the floor beat is one of the most popular drum patterns used today. It's called four on the floor because there are four beats per every measure played. This tutorial explains how to easily construct a basic four on the floor beat within Pro Tools 8.

  • What plug in can i use for hip hop drums in pro tools? Can I use my samples? and Is it possible to assign my samples to different keys of my midi in pro tools? Please Help!

  • @HenrydeBeli In order to do this you will need a sampler such as kontact, battery 3 or structure just to name a few. Toontracks electronic ezx also has great drum machine samples for hip hop and many other sounds for other genres of electronic music. Once you have a sampler then you will be able to trigger your samples with your midi keyboard.

Hope this helped out and let me know if you need anything else cleared up

    Talk to you soon,

    Justin
