This ad is VERY deceptive. Romney was stating a fact of law, not necessarily a position. The policy that Mitt Romney is seen quoting stems from several Supreme Court cases that say that states need to allow for a judicial process for teens to get an abortion in the event that the parents disapprove. Most often this issue arises when a teen lives in an abusive household, where the teen fears her parents. Bellotti v. Baird (1979), Planned Parenthood of Kansas City v. Ashcroft (1983).
