Have you considered the possibility of taking one or two courses in basic, third grade level English grammar? And when you're all grown up, you may want to consider an introductory course in interpersonal relationships, too.

@josiahmorgan11 Overall, a very weak short story comp. A couple descent ones in there though. I thought Just After Sunset was even worse.

I love all King books, but my five least favorites and books I'll probably never read again are: Lisey's Story, The Dark Half, Bag of Bones, From a Buick 8, and Doloroes Clairborn. Also, the short story collections Everything's Eventual, Just After Sunset, and Nightmares and Dreamscapes are very weak compared how incredible Night Shift and Skeleton Crew are. Just one man's opinion who has read everything he has put out.

i agree with you jano- many of SK's books are in dire need of heavy editing... i'm battling my way through 'the dome' now and at times it really isnt easy (he often appears to write simply for the sake of writing) . interestingly this isn't the case with his earlier works- back when he had an editor who had the balls to trim the fat. but i suppose this is often the case with the super-successful, they become surrounded by 'yes-men' (still my favorite author)

The only Stephen King book I stopped reading and probably will never finish is not even in there... it's Dreamcatcher... but seriously every stephen king book is awesome.. Why ? mainly because you can NEVER know how it's gonna end... like in Cujo the little boy dies at the end.. but in Gerald's Game Jessie survives... Anyone who can have a variety of stories like he does... is for me a GREAT author...And I also love how he writes... it's so beautiful ... he has a way of making you feel the story

Dolores Claiborne IS the worst SK book ever
-
Geralds game was intended to be a short story - do some research!

I would recommend The Stand

Dreamcatcher was awesome, but the ending about the Dreamcatcher strands running towards each other sucked.
I'm reading desperation as a start. do you like that book, Jano?

@QN811 Yeah it's a good one. Much better than some of the other books he realesed at the time.

You can't hang a price tag on his type of work. A true artist in every sense of the word. Stephen King is a household name and his legacy will probably continue on for centuries after we're dead and here YOU are, taking the TIME to make a list of his WORST books?!?

@dissolvedmusic Yes you are correct. King is entitled to release a book of lower quality every ones in a while since he's not a god, but a human being. And allso I think that you don't really see why I made this list. It isn't because I want to trash or discredit King or anything like that. It's simply because I wanted to point out the low points of his career and have discussions about it. I'm a huge SK fan. But some books he's made have been less good than others. But he's still the best

I'm reading my first King book at the moment; Misery. Which other ones do you recommend?

@shaizerbaizer657 If you don't want to start reading his really lenghty works like IT and the stand i think Pet sematary and Cujo would be a good place to start.
