Is this guitar an electric acoustic? Do you have you're own home made amp? You seem to have an awful lot of electronics just to control what you have.

@TimBuktu666 It's due to two things: the pick and the "left hand" movement. When a human holds a pick, it tends to not only pluck the string rather strongly and quickly compared to what a machine does, but it also gets a nice grip of it, in a way only the tip of the pick folds from the string tension. Next, the "left hand" releases its grip too quickly from the string, and since the tip of the "fingers" isn't fleshy like a human's, it cannot produce that muffled sound of a just release string.

Thank you all so much for the comments. I knew when we set out to build this that we would be able to prove that machines can play guitar better than humans. I was shocked, however, at the flawless and completely organic sound we were able to get. Sometimes I put on the real version of Here Comes the Sun just to see if I can tell the difference. I never can though. Simply amazing.
