  • Wrong! This scripture speaks of the Roman Papal system. Don't you know your history? Google Martin Luther, Wycliffe, Tyndale, Huss, Sir Isaac Newton, etc. ALL these attest to just who this beast is. The Book of Revelation in concert with the Book of Daniel is a prophecy pertaining to church history. IN FACT, by it's very title, The Revelation , contradicts the statement that it is a sealed book. The seven churches relate to the different dispensations down throughout history. Ken doesn't get it.

  • @otnt66 The problem for you is that the author, John, speaks of Revelation as an "unsealed" book -- one that has been revealed to the church at that time -- hence the title. If it were about the papal system, they could not have understood and it would have been "sealed."

  • Does anyone have an Idea of what the nations Magog and gog are suppose to be? Sorry if I spelt them wrong.

  • In Ezekiel 38, Gog is the prince of the Gentile nations that attacked Israel with the Assyrian Empire.

In Rev 20, Gog and Magog symbolize all the people of the world who are opposed to Christ's kingdom on earth. They represent a state of final apostasy prior to the final judgment.

Postmils do teach a final apostasy that occurs at the end of history after a period of long peace and prosperity.

  • I am not a pretersist, but I decided to study it more in depth to get a greater perspective.

  • Let's say that Revelation did already happen a preterist friend of mine said that Ezekiel 37,38 and Zechariah 14 are also about 70 AD. That can't be true. Zechariah and Ezekiel makes it clear that Israel is attacked and God goes and fights for Israel. No so in AD 70. Even if Revelation happened, there are things to happen in the future.

  • There are so much in the OT, which he hasn't quoted...Revelation was written for our generation...Another misleading...Do not agree!..What about understanding of Daniel 9. and many more in in OT like. Dan. 2:44-45, 7:9-14, 12:1-3 NT: ; Matt. 13:41. 24:15-31, 26:64; Jude 14-15 vs.; Mark 13:14-27, 14:62; Luke 21:25-28 and much more. Which he is not quoting...I do disagree with his teaching...I don't dislike the man tho..but not correct..I am pre-tribulationist

  • @EndTimeDelusion1 The bible is it's own interpreter. You don't need Ken or any other. Study it yourself. Dan 9:24-27 tells it all. The decree by Artaxerxes Longimanus to rebuild Jerusalem found in Ezr 7:13 was actually the Autumn of 457BC. 69 weeks or 483 years later, Jesus started his ministry. Half a week, or three and a half years later, he was crucified, ending the Ceremonial Law. Half a week later Stephen was stoned, ending the Chosen Nation status of Israel, Paul went to the Gentiles. TRUTH

  • This is wrong, the Bible says the seven mountains are kings, the hills of rome have not fallen. Nebuchadnezzar is the first head, Cyrus, Darius, Alexander the Great, the generals of Aleaxander, Rome was the sixth, Arabia was the seventh

  • @ferdnerkel

I don't really see modern times as being so much worse than they were in the time the book was written. True we have new weapons, but wars were just as bloody, disease just as deadly, and crime just as horrible back in those days. The only major jump we've made is media reaching more people to scare them into a panicked, easily manipulated state.

  • does tribulation of the early church really qualify as the great tribulation? Jesus in mat 24;21 said "... nor ever shall be" seems to me that many of the events of the 20th century have been far worse than the troubles of the early church. not to mention the black plague in Europe or the slaughterhouse that is called mans "Enlightenment". this doesnt look like very solid ground to me. ((just commenting))

  • I am curious if anyone may know the names of good theology text books. I am writing a novel revolving around the events of the rapture. I need to mostly study some of various arch demons and arch angels. Sorry if this sounds out of place, thanks for your reply before.

  • Thanks

  • But "Messiah be cut off" after 69 weeks, so if Jesus was crucified in 33AD, the final 7 yrs would not stretch all the way to 70AD, or it would be 75 wks, not 70. But "unto the end of the war desolations are determined" could still apply to 70AD, without having to be included as part of the 70 wks.

It was JESUS who caused the centuries old practice of sacrifices and oblations to cease! That's why He said "It is finished" & the veil of the temple was rent. 3.5 yr ministry,1/2 of 7 yrs.
