The Magic world was rocked Saturday night at PAX when Wizards of the Coast revealed double-faced cards. Representing key transformations like human to werewolf or bat to vampire, these cards break new ground in the history of Magic card design. I know this sucks but I think I know how to feel foil card damn my stupid friend for taking by Civilized Scholar(Foil) I wanted it for collections but now I could collect another foil but its a common well at least it's my first achievement...P.s. I'm a beginner to MTG

On a topic, I like the double-faced cards idea, but how it would work if you see cards in opponent's hand?

@Elestareus well if you're a Spike/tournament player and want a competitive deck, you want to play the best cards you can get - and you bet there are a bunch of double-faced cards among them...
The idea is nice, but double-faced cards are just so awkward to play with outside of Magic Online. It's a big middle finger especially to casual players.

Wow, Mark Rosewater really has such an unexpected voice.
He sounds more like an infomercial commentator.
I supposed MaRo to have that kind of a "fable uncle"-like voice, if you know what i mean :D

When a double faced card dies, does it return to it's human form? I.e. a werewolf dies, does it die, and stay in the graveyard in werewolf form?
