the mana cost of spells depend on the skill level of the assosiated skill and it's master attribute. In terms of your Atronach character, higher willpower and intelligence lower your destruction and conjuration spell costs, conserving more of your mana for you :)

yo gix, you should check out "mrpwners major marihuana mod" i know you talked about your mod setup earlier but i think its alot of fun being a stoner mage, and you should try it out for sure.
