Practicing Diatonic Scales - Elitist Les Paul

I'm taking lessons to improve my lead skills. This is the track I've been jamming to in order to practice soloing in a basic Am diatonic scale. I think what I have here is pretty boring until around 0:50. Lots of mistakes and sloppy playing. Backing track by Peter Vogel.

Addendum: this is the first video where I've used my new Line6 Toneport. I have to say that I'm not impressed with the sound. It seems too thin and compressed, like I'm playing through the "Drive" channel on a cheap starter amp--no matter how I dial in the settings.

never used tone port or any of that computer stuff, but all the line 6 spiders ive heard sound like they are underwater

hey man, great playing, its like an urban mexican, rock kind of a feel ha. love the guitar man i just bought one of my own and i absolutly love it. they are definatly worth the money. mines a studio, white and gold, black pick guard. I LOVE IT :) keep playin my brutha!
