Alistair Chisholm, Dorchester's National Champion Town Crier, winner of the National Town Crier Championships in 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002 and now 2007 and coming second in the World Championships in 1999.
Alistair is here to tell you that Dorset's county town, known to readers of Thomas Hardy as "Casterbridge", is steeped in history and heritage. I actually have this drama on DVD from 1973. Billie Whitelaw played Rhoda, its a good story, bit scary when she has the dream at the beginning though.

This is one of my favorite stories, and I love how Alistair Chisholm tells this bit of it here. He has a wonderful voice for it.
