The video shows my battle against the toughest Totema mission in the game, Mateus and his deadly minions. It's much better than my other FFTA videos, I think.
I didn't have to add new laws to win here, and I hope I won't have to do that to beat the game either.
Party:
2x Viera Red Mage/Summoner
3x Moogle Gadgeteer/Juggler
Marche as Thief with Damage = MP
Got used to starting the battle first? At this point in the game, we're slower than most enemies. We need some luck to survive at the beginning of the battle. The Moogles all have Damage = MP and the entire party has Angel Rings. In case a unit dies once, it's okay. If we die afterwards, we may very well be in trouble.
Okay, our turn comes. The two Red Mage Viera are quicker than the Moogles so they move in and get rid of Mateus's minions by (double-, if possible)casting Phoenix. Equipping the Half MP S-ability allows them to do it successfully. Without Half MP, they will have insufficient MP to do so.
If one or more minions are still alive, Smile the Vieras so that they get rid of them as soon as possible. With four of them on the field, even the combination of Damage = MP and Angel Rings may not be enough for our fluffy moogle bums.
Eventually, Mateus will be the sole enemy on the field, that is, until his allies come back from hell after a few turns. Once they do, send them back to the dead again.
Mateus should be damaged by using Gil Toss repeatedly, 30 damage each use. Damage = MP on Moogles takes care of his attacks, though the two Viera may be killed by some of his moves. Equip Mistle Robes (absorbs Holy damage) to prevent them from dying of Saint Cross, which is a target all holy-elemental tech. If you make sure the Viera are far from each other, you guarantee them vitality until the minions' revival by simply casting Phoenix whenever Mateus kills one of them.
I think I pulled this off very smoothly. I didn't really get to use Gadgeteer's Pandora skills because absorbing hits with Damage = MP left me no MP during the first half of the battle and when I did have the MP gambling and risking what would be a winning match didn't seem the brightest idea. I'd like to emphasise I may have to rely on Pandora during at least two of the final battles.
Furthermore, I would like to announce I am going to post vids in this challenge in the case of new strategies. If it's the same strategy, I'll keep it to myself and won't find it worthy of being uploaded.
I'll definitely post the one against Ritz (which I've just recorded and which turned out epic) and, of course, the final battles.
howd you get characters with double cast and all that already on them at lvl 2 pus i saw the video about getting and character but nothing about preknown skills

They're not preknown. You earn abilties by completing missions. You gain experience and level up by making action. See the difference? Complete missions without levelling up and lv. 2 characters will learn all the skills you need.

Is there any other strategy you can use, like maximum sequence or something? Hoping to live long enough to gil toss stuff to death seems brutal.
Anyway, great job.

Maximum Sequence is only available later in the game, after Mateus.
Indeed, sometimes hoping to stay alive while Gil Tossing away is extreme to the max. The next upload (against Ritz) will show that you CAN get into trouble.

is there any other way you can deal damage other then using gil toss?

At this point, there is none that I am aware of. Bosses seem to be immune to all cheap tricks, like fractional moves (Twister, Demi, etc.) or moves that swap HP and MP. Technically, a transformed Morpher may OHKO any boss with the right preparation, but it's been banned by me since day one.
If all goes well, you'll see a much more effective way of dealing with bosses during the final battles.
