Could have picked a better background for this video! And the vestments of your religious order are a nice touch though. I can't ever get over this do-gooder!

Buickgirl, you must understand that this whole mental illness business (and very lucrative it is) is about medicalizing moral issues! Our disease-mongering culture, of labeling the troublesome and troubling among us, as "il" and "disordered", is only Therapeutic-speak for a moral shift in our society: where the moral, social, and ethical aspects in life have been thoroughly medicalized. And, for anyone seeking confirmation and psychiatric absolution, being labeled does make therapeutic sense.

I love all the thumbs down I got, I dont care I have seen it happen first had 2 times. Where there was a normal kid with bad parents. 1 didn't try and teach there kid anything so they say he is slow, hes not! They just never caried to teach him anything. Like even how to talk!!! Another one was this kid who never got disaplined AT ALL and now that he is causing issues in school so it must be ADHD. BULL. The only people who pretend to believe it are the ppl that can use it as an accuse

People are being blocked from adding comments to this video. This is supposedly a medical advice series, yet, those with contradictory opinions are summarily excluded from the fray. This, in a nutshell, is censorship of those who stand to challenge the authority of those with the power over others.

I would take that a step further and say that ADHD is a socially ascribed label for the disruptive and willful child. As for the adult, ANY mental illness (disorder) label is a means of excuse and psychiatrirc absolution for the failure, at some level, to conform and flourish in one's environment. Our culture drugs and locks up many of society's troubling and troublesome individuals, and ADHD "treatment" is but one of many means of segregating and excluding, by way of pseudo-medical blandishment

Tom Cruise is Dyslexic and I know for a fact Jim Carey has ADHD!
