This video was filmed by Reverand Herbert Ball in the 1930s and 40s in and around Wigwassan Lodge, Tobin's Island, Lake Rosseau, Muskoka. That's him with the white hair appearing out of nowhere.
Much of the footage is in colour which would have been "state of the art" for home video at the time.
This was what Muskoka was like 70 plus years ago. Unfortunately there was no soundtrack so I have added some (hopefully appropriate) sound effects.
The video has not been altered in any way and is a direct copy from the original 16mm film. Enjoy this journey back in time.
