Showing process of adding add-ons to our canoe included new shoulder pads, tiedowns, securing fishing poles/paddles/PFDs. for efficient portaging.
While on the water however always wear PFDs at all times.
These add ons make canoing easier and much more enjoyable.
When loading canoe onto truck, simply back into position and lower canoe in place.

  • I love the canoe storage in the garage. Is it just generic pulleys?

  • @Trailzuki THey are just pulleys from the local hardware store cast I think about 2 inches or a bit more I think Thanks for the viewing have good day

  • Good ideas. What kind of suction cups are those and where can one get them? How about the bungie loops with the beadson the end? Do they come with the cups, or did you come up with that? Thanks for sharing.

  • @MuddyG The bungie cords are a net design that I bought several of them at a local bike shop, they have hooks that can be positioned anywhere needed.

The suction cups can be found at hardware stores or maybe auto stores, just have to look around some, not very expensive either

  • Great vid!!!

    Beautiful boat!!!

There is a canoe/kayak/punt hire company just downriver of my club and every time I see someone paddle past, they are doing everything possible wrong:

Holding paddles in wrong place, upside down, backwards...

    Not wearing their pfd,

And they ALWAYS have the heaviest person in the front... Which gives them no control what so ever.

    Makes you wanna cry!

  • your my hero!!! nice vid

  • These are all great ideas.

    Love your dog.

Do you have an equally ingenious ways to unload and load the canoe once you have reached your destination?

  • looks like you've got a well trained pet bear. suction cups are a great idea

  • Cool. Thanks for sharing.
