This is a 30 Second and a 60 Second TV Commercial that was a Public Service Announcement Written, Produced and Directed by: Mark Fournier and the Music was Written, Produced and Directed by: Alan Ripa. This ad aired in the Mid 1980's. Child abuse was still a closet issue at that time and we were bringing the topic to the public's attention in a creative way. The words to the song originally said "Learns from his "Father" the meaning of fear." That issue became a huge issue in the studio when they were recording it. Child abuse comes from Dad's, Mom's, Sister's , Brother's Aunt's and Uncles and on and on everybody was saying. So after much discussion and debate Mark and Alan decided to change the words to "Learns from his "Parents" the meaning of fear" This TV Commercial won many, many awards, but that was the after effect. The primary goal was to help bring awareness to this problem of Child Abuse and that there is help for those that need it. This TV commercial did do just that!
