@ridecmb This process is duplicating the windows partition as it is, so there is no need to reinstall it. The first part of the process copied the entire drive, OS included, the last part writes it all back.

so you don't need to actually reinstall the windows os? or is it reinstalled when you mount it to the drive?

i have backed up my partition using win clone 2.2 and its working one, got an image of the copy, but then when i wanted to start akin a new partition, it asked me to insert a windows7 cd? can anyone please help me with this

Hello! I've just installed lion but winclone doesn't work with lion! :( Do you know any other program like winclone that works with lion? Really good tutorial! :)

@TheKominomi Hi! Thanks very much! Unfortunately, i do not think there are any Lion compatible partition resizing programs at the mo, since OS Lion has only just been released! As far as i am aware, Winclone is discontinued so it will no longer be updated, so i am not sure of its compatibility with lion or if it will ever be updated. However, there are a few other programs out there that you should keep a eye on to see if they are updated/available for OS Lion, they are: iPartition and CampTune.
