This Dahong is not up to the standard. Its all show and commercialism nowadays. When he was alive, there were countless corruption stories about Abbot Yongxin about how he crowned himself an Abbot some of the stories implies allegations of murder of fellow monks. I don't wanna point out links but if you google the net, it won't be too long before you find some of the stories.

@fugoung1 and not trying to disrespect any1, super humans hella yeah but shaolin monks or traditional shaolin goung fu NO !!! check out DA XIANG GOU SI you all might find theres a whole lot missing to this shaolin ......... craze and it gets even harder if you take modern info cause the communist government has bin in charge since 1940/45 and they still are !!!

@freemangreen06 nothing to do with old or new goung fu traditional or modern, it is to do with 1940/45 and the removal of 4 of the 8 fundamentals of fighting, theres definatly ""real goung fu out there still but it sure as the states of heaven & hell is not at the shaolin temple anymore. only the broken and pulled apart versions that the gov allows people to learn. shaolin is not subtle its straight to the point !!! sorry no time for fighting .... enlightenment (yep they took that part out also)

Only 2:25-2:58 is real Shaolin Kongfu, but people prefer to see the reformed kongfu form in the beginning of the video. You need to first learn Chinese philosophy to understand and appreciate the subtlety and profoundness of the real Shaolin Kongfu. I doubt you have enough spare time. At least please show your respect to those masters.

Traditional Shaolin Kung Fu exists....you just have to dig and find it. Yes modern shaolin does contain "wushu" but its not all wushu.

Shaolin Temple today is a major tourism site and a money maker for China. Yes, in modern times you need money to survive. So I understand why the things they way they are now. You can live and think in the past.

@ Gunner512, true - it's all bisiness now, all over China and here - Monks come out to the west to make a living out of Kungfu nowadays - It's no more what it once was; "to raise disciples" and not bums who just wanna learn a few moves so they can make a video and put it on Youtube LOL...
