Generation Cures
MISSION: Game for Good, Make it Better
Generation Cures (www.kids.generationcures.org) from Children's Hospital Boston, the nations top pediatric research institution, is an online community where kids help cure other kids across the globe by doing what they already love playing games and having fun. With so many children dealing with serious illnesses, and many more struggling to provide support to sick friends and family members, Generation Cures aims to demystify the world of medicine and empower kids to help each other.
This safe, free online community for kids (ages 8-12) features animated stories, interactive games and original kid-directed videos inspire kids to care about others and believe they can make a difference in the world. Parents, relatives and family friends can choose to make a donation to Generation Cures, or to sponsor their Generation Cures kids as they "game for good." This means as kids complete big game milestones, sponsor pledges are donated to Generation Cures to fund the discovery of life-saving cures for serious childhood illnesses. Kids and their parents are embracing the mission of Generation Cures, which has been honored with many national awards including two Gold Mom's Choice awards and the KidZui seal of approval.
