@TonyPSmith these bikes have instant torque off the line but once a 2 stroke gets in the powerband, or a 4 stroke tearing shit up on the track, theres no stopping them. if producers want to make electric competative its going to take more than just 2 seconds of off the line pure torque. just saying.

jumpstart...boooohooooooo

@91kwalk91.. idiot. This thing has only 1 gear vs your petrol that has 4 gears plus, come on use your brain. You have no idea what you are talking about so why bother comment on something you know very little about? Electronic motors are way way way more powerful than internal combustion

@TonyPSmith the zero jumped the fucking start

idgaf how fast that thing is, if i got last because they are faster, or if im the only 2 stroke, 4 stroke out there i anit touching that thing.

change the name to YZF 250 I only watched this movie because i wanted to hear a nice two stroke not a 4stroke piece of crap

I saw Lanovich riding a ZERO MX at "A day in the Dirt" This year. He finished a 30 minute moto, with juice left over. Looks like KTM has one in the wings as well

nothing will ever bet a gas engine... no matter what we are dealing with

@gasdive lighter ill agree with. faster not a chance. my dads friend has one. they are not fun to ride. they just feel awkward. i ride my rm 250 and it feels like heaven compared to the zero mx. being better for the enviroment is something everyone can live with and i think its a great idea. i just love the sound of 2 stroke and 4 stroke dirtbikes. and ill miss it. ill never ride a zero mx in my life. ill simply quit rideing. what would an electric supercross look like? completely lame.

@gasdive Well said! It's amazing how many riders are so staunchly opposed to anything that threatens their gas bikes. It's almost like their minds are closed, even though the paradigm is shifting fast. Gas is going away, EV drive systems are coming in and it's a great replacement. Sadly, when someone identifies so strongly with something and that something goes away, they go away with it.
@91jwalk91 Sounds like there is fear in your comment. It's OK to be afraid of an electric bike. These bikes will be showing up on a track near you sooner than later. And while they are preemptors to much faster and more powerful models on the drawing boards right now, they are just a taste of the future. Accept it or get devoured by it. It's OK to be afraid.

combustion engines have had well over 100 years to be developed, they are the most developed piece of technology we have today, electric motors and lithium battery's have only really had any serious research in the last 15 years. give e-bikes a fair chance and enough investment and i can reassure you they will be faster and more fun than these old fashioned combustion engines.
when e-bikes become common it will be a lot cheaper to ride MX, the motor only has 1 moving part. THUMBS UP IF U AGREE
