Is a reflux better for drinkin or will a set-up like this get it done? I want the best taistin hooch i can make. I have a valved reflux design ready to build but this still is alot simpler and inexspensive. Also do you put copper mesh in the main tube between the boiler and top? How many times do you run it with this still to get it good? Do you put the ethonal minus the methonal and tails dirrectly in the boiler and run it again strait ethonal?Sorry for the stupid questions but i have to learn.

Great vid i have done my first run about a week before watching your vid. I start catching as soon as the first starts dripping and catch the first 100ml and use that for cleaning, the rest i catch in 700ml spirit bottles and do alcohol test with a alco meter, i noticed any thing that would not burn is when the heads are comming in just below 40persent alc, have noticed as the heads start dropping in to loooks like a sweet sugar liquid dropping in,not good at all .

Hi great brewing vid --I was taught how to find the end of the dead head is drop 10 drops into a shot glass and hold it to your eye look right in if it still bothers the eye it`s not consumable when it does`nt bother your good to go - old school trick.
