@123calisshit123 Perhaps, but people all over the world still consume black music and culture like it's CRACK. what's up with that..lol

@Albertanator ACTUALLY, The blues didn't come out the church, per se. They REALLY came out of what WHITE folks 'termed' Negro spirituals. Funny how white folks can define everything except European Classical music. Those so-called Negro spirituals were from call-and-response universally used to endure hard labor (B4 we could even go to church). Those work songs/banjo were a culmination of various African tunes. Why whites <3/hate and steal so much music from us we'll never know! Do you?

@Albertanator Their OWN material isn't what got them noticed. Black people's material did. We're actually saying the same thing silly. White folks are ALWAYS downplaying the fact that only they truly percieve themselves as creative musical icons. Well, at least black folks sure as hell don't. ESPECIALLY when we're talking about any form of contemporary music. I don't mention Mozart and the gang, because defining "classical" music doesn't say much. Every culture has CLASSICAL music O_o.

@bootfruity Much of the Beatles music had very little Black influence...in their early days that is true but when they started writing their own material, that was pretty much their own experience and remember, most of the music influences came out of the Church Black and White so you could say all those Black Blues artists ripped that off....someone is always ripping off someone else....and of course, I notice you didn't say anything about Bach or Beethoven.....the worlds most important music

@Albertanator What about them? The Beatles? They got famous from immulating soul singers and blues musicians. A lot of black artists allowed the Beatles to hang out with them until the Beatles started ripping off all their shit. And because they were white, nothing was done about it. Created alot of tension between such artists & the Beatles. MJ buying the rights to their music was a sort of retribution. Look it up. Same was true with Jagger, Elvis, Zepplin...too many to name really
