This is the SEMA LS7 concept Camaro at the Dallas Auto Show, Feb. 09. The LS7 427 engine (505 HP base) can be bought as a crate motor and GMPP can provide the parts necessary to stuff this thing into a Camaro.

  • Im a camaro guy and GM should have put a ls7 in the new ZL1, enuff with this supercharger crap , GM in know for their motors, you put a ls7 and tune it, it would be a monster

  • @JMRzproduction nice thought for sure, but the LS7 has been officially "discontinued" beyond the Z06 (and other variants) Corvettes. GM's focus is the future, and the LSA is the way they are going to go. That being said, there are several tuners offering an LS7 conversion for the 'Maro.

  • in my opinion, GM should have made the camaro SS's with this LS7 engine... it would have been a more expensive, but 500hp isnt cheap to begin with. That way the SS could have competed agaist the Shelby Mustang. They should have use the current engine as a Z/28 model.

  • @AndyMan4 Totally agreed. no substitute for cubes and torque. unfortunately the LS7 is already scheduled for "end of life" within the next year or two - meaning they will no longer make them. Even the Z06 Corvette will be getting a new engine soon. Bummer. Thats why we need to snap up all the LS7 crate motors we can from GM performance parts! (GMPP) -- buy them while they're hot! (oh and I think they cost about $15K if I remember correctly :-(

  • How much is the LS7 Camaro, i cant find a price on it!

  • @Kareem2369 It's not available from a dealer. you have to build it from components. Check out gm performance parts (GMPP)

  • what about that super snake? it has way more hp than chevy's ZR1.

  • @JMRzproduction i agree with that but the only reason they didnt was for the corvette it hast to be the fastest production car the make or they wont need it

  • The ZL1 doesn't need a LS9 engine. The LSA will beat the Gt500. It would cost about 60k instead of 50k for the LS7. Natural horsepower is much better than modified or supercharged. If you want an LS7 sooo bad then build it yourself. LS9 is basically a LS7 with LSA supercharger.

  • @JMRzproduction i agree 100%, i was just about to write that until I saw that you did already. Its a muscle car keep it naturally aspirated. The bigger the engine the better fuck blowers

  • Im a camaro guy and GM should have put a ls7 in the new ZL1, enuff with this supercharger crap , GM in know for their motors, you put a ls7 and tune it, it would be a monster

  • @AndyMan4 Now thats just too logical. makes too much sense, exactly why they didnt do it. then they could also make a ZL1 camaro with the LS9 and dust any shelby.

  • @AndyMan4 there are macking a z28 camaro with a superchardged cts-v LSA engine

  • I cant wait to the Las Vegas International Auto Show in one month. There is another one in San Francisco the same time in November, and another in San Jose, California early January 2011 after Christmas. I am thinking about checking out SEMA this year.
