"The Carpet of Bagdad" is a piece of music played by the pioneer Iraqi musician Munir Bashir (1928-1997), and his son, Omar, one of the most masterful Arab oud players. It's really one of those magnificent masterpieces which clearly give an idea about the deep-rooted heritage of the middle eastern music. I'm sure you'll love it :)
Just beautiful!

Thanks Moonfades2009 for sharing. You are right, both Bashirs, the father and son, are master oud players, emulated by so many others. And with such a perfect sound, what more could a oud lover wish for to begin the New Year! Great!
