    What a great stuff!!!! Definitely only for mentally mature. Pretty thrilling story about mental desolation of the contemporary humanity. And great piece of young Russian cinema! Heres the best proof, that very good russian movies can be made also beyound Mosfilm.

    Офигенский фильм. До этого читал описание - и как-то не возникало желания посмотреть. А этот фрагмент увидел, и сразу понял, что фильм должен быть хорошим. Настолько созвучна музыка видеоряду, что просто здорово. При том, что песня сама по себе никакого отношения не имеет к тому, что происходит на экране. Но у Балабанова определённо талант в подборе саундтреков к своим фильмам.

    Один из любимых эпизодов в этом фильме, наряду со сценой на аэродроме с выгрузкой гробов и загрузкой новой партии солдат... Блестящий фильм, который заставляет думать, что в нашем новом кино редкость.

    "Sherlock Holmes and Dr.Watson" - one of the best adaptations ever of Conan Doyle's books;

    "Moy laskovyy i nezhnyy zver" (A Hunting Accident) - favourite drama;

    "Ivan Vasilyevich menyayet professiyu" (Ivan Vasilievich: Back to the Future), Pokrovskiye Vorota (The Pokrovsky Gate) - favourite comedies.

    Strictly speaking, they are all Soviet, and by far not the best, just my personal preferences.

    "Ironiya sudby, ili S lyogkim parom!" (The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!), "Sluzhebnyy roman" (Office Romance) - favourite romantic comedies;

    "12 stulyev" (The Twelve Chairs) - favourite caper film;
