This software is bundled with Canon EOS cameras. http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/8/0300004048/01/eu29-w-en.pdf There is software for other camera brands but you may have to pay for it. If you have a Canon EOS camera....try it out. Here is a link to the Canon site PDF owner manual.

  • Most informative. Thanks for uploading. I'd no idea Canon provided such useful software for its cameras. This is a big selling point.

  • @unclealister Thank you for the comment! It can be useful. I believe Nikon and Sony have similar software available.

  • will this work with a remote control?

  • @AvecAngie Not that I am aware. This program only uses USB connection and computer control. A remote would be of no use with this program. (that I can see)

  • @nate42nd Thanks for clearing that up for me. I guess what I'm trying to figure out is a way to see live view on a bigger screen (laptop?) while at the same time being able to control what it does (taking a photo) away from the laptop and camera. Is there anyway to do this?

  • @AvecAngie A wireless remote will do just that. Wireless shutter release sounds like what you want. Search Amazon for them. Get on compatible with your camera model.

  • Now if they'd only made our T2i so the USB port hadn't detached itself from the main board a day after the warranty expired.
