Now if they'd only made our T2i so the USB port hadn't detached itself from the main board a day after the warranty expired.

i have this program in my computer and ive used it with my camera....its all good but i cant look at the pictures on my hardrive. i also cant see my pictures anymore when i put my sd card into my computer. please help!!

Most informative. Thanks for uploading. I'd no idea Canon provided such useful software for its cameras. This is a big selling point.

@unclealister Thank you for the comment! It can be useful. I believe Nikon and Sony have similar software available.

@AvecAngie Not that I am aware. This program only uses USB connection and computer control. A remote would be of no use with this program. (that I can see)

@nate42nd Thanks for clearing that up for me. I guess what I'm trying to figure out is a way to see live view on a bigger screen (laptop?) while at the same time being able to control what it does (taking a photo) away from the laptop and camera. Is there anyway to do this?

@AvecAngie A wireless remote will do just that. Wireless shutter release sounds like what you want. Search Amazon for them. Get on compatible with your camera model.
