while i had my RP1000 hooked up to my amp, and the camcorder running, i decided to try the pod xt live also. i gave MY opinion on what i like. don't be offended if you have different tastes. you have to be happy with your gear and your gear should inspire you.

  • Hi! Singtall

I bought the Digitech RP 1000 just few days ago.I'm still on the process of learning how to use all the patches. I feel that there's more treble.

Can you help me on how can I get the tone of Joe Satriani..

  • @cactus8870 did you download any of the presets i posted at the digitech site? there are many presets that will get you close.

  • are they running into the clean channel of your amp?

  • @ivncdo0809 nope. running into the effects return so that they both benefit from a tube power amp section, but no tone controls.

  • do you think you could send me the patch you used for the rp1000?

  • @bahamutod all of my patches are posted at the digitech forum. just look for patches by singtall

  • singtall I have observed many videos and aquired many of your patches to try. thanks for all your help and effort. I personally do not have the skill or time to devote to learning all this stuff and I am quite sure there are many others like me who thank you. Keep on keepin!!!! LOL If you could throw out an Iron Maiden for the song wrathchild, the part Adrian plays and the one Dave Murray plays would be alot of fun for me! Thanks again!!!!!

  • I agree 100%

  • Ross?? Haha! Im looking around at a bunch of different pedals and I find you on YouTube!

I used to go to church with you. I'm Tommy. I used to be really good friends with Seth Leonard and James and everybody. Ha. Small world.

  • The RP1000 sounds really good. Much better tone in this 'duel'. But I've heard Pod's that have much better tones than what you brought out of it. I guess it's all in the know how with different modelers. Great playing by the way!

  • Pod yeah my pedalboard is pod xt live x2 :)

  • Very nice tone man.

  • i prepare for HD POD!!

  • @RythmTR The RP1000 has an input from the guitar with output to the input on the amp, and it also has a separate effects loop that goes into the effects loop on your amp. This is the feature, in my opinion that makes the RP1000 completely awesome. You can separate which effects go before your preamp and which come after. If you don't understand what I'm saying, you have some things to learn.

  • ...what you mean about a 4 cables connection? maybe its because of that different use... possibly a reason for difference in sound quality you have from podxt

  • tone feels like plastic crap!? I dont want to know your opinion about behringer products :P

  • Now you gotta try the POD HD. =D

  • digitech wins the line 6 did sound thin and plasticcy
