One Car MVA Claims One Life, Leaves Two More In Critical Condition

At 12:06 p.m. MedStat, Attala County Sheriff's Deputies, Attala Fire and Rescue, Sallis Volunteers, Goodman Police and the Mississippi Highway Patrol to a one car MVA on Hwy 14 West approximately three miles from Goodman. The caller advised that two subjects were thrown from the vehicle, with one possible DOA. Audio First responders on scene reported that the road was not blocked, but did advised that they had one person in critical condition. Audio MedStat Units requested Air Care 1 and Air Care 2 to fly to the location. At 12:30 p.m. MedStat Units advised communications to notify the coroner of one DOA. Audio Emergency personnel shut down the Highway for both AirCare 1 & 2 to landed in the Highway. Audio UPDATE: The auto crash claimed the life of one male. A female and a child was airlifted t the University Medical Center in Jackson with severe injuries. All were unrestrained in the vehicle which left the roadway and rolled many times into adjacent field. The vehicle had Holmes County plates. The identity of the victims will be released as soon as the family is notified.
