Nick: So um I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out or something...
Laura: Um I've actaully made other plans. *that was a lie but she couldn't think of being alone with Nick.*
Nick: Oh... okay I understand. *looked down.* Maybe some other time.
Laura: Yeah sure. *doubt it. Nick left. Got a phone call on her cell.* Hello?
Maddie: Hey! its Maddie I'm having a party tonight at the hotel I'm staying at you want to come?
Laura: I don't know. *she didn't feel like doing anything.*
Maddie: Comon I'm only here for so long. and it'll be fun and you can bring your friends.
Laura: *Gave up* fine.
Maddie: Yes! Love yeah I'll see you tonight at 7:00. Bye!
Laura: Bye. hey um Jess and Kayla.
Jess: yeah?
Laura: My friend Maddie's having a party tonight and she wants me to take you guys.
Kayla: Yeah sure sounds like fun.
Laura: Okay. Invite Kevin, Joe and Nick too. *She wasn't going to be the one to invite Nick.*
Jess: Okay.
Laura: 'Kay thanks bye.

At Laura's getting ready.

Laura: *She got dressed in a daze not really paying any attention to what she was doing. She was trying really hard
to block something out of her mind. But the thought of Nick crept its way back. She still got butterflies when she said
his name and it hurt so much to feel that way when she knew what he had done and she wasn't going to forgive him he'd
hurt her in such an unnecessary way. The sudden ring of her phone made her jump.* Hello?
Cody: Hey! its Cody.
Laura: Hey... *confused* How'd you get my nummber?
Cody: Oh Maddie gave it to me.
Laura: Oh.
Cody: So are you going to the party tonight?
Laura: Yup.
Cody: Great! I'll see you then bye.
Laura: Bye.

At the party.

Cody: Did Laura say when she'd get here?
Maddie: Clam down. She said she'd be here and the party just started and plus you were the last one to talk to
her not me.
Cody: Fine.

Getting to the party.

Laura: *Had to sit beside Nick there were no other seats. But she wouldn't look at him.*
Nick: So.. um whos party are we going to exactly? *He tried to make small talk.*
Laura: My friend Maddie's. *Not looking at him but she wanted to so badly*
Nick: Oh should be fun.
Laura: Uh-huh.
Nick: Um Laura... *he struggled with his words.* Theres something i wanted to talk about.
Laura: *looked at him finally please noo!* Yeah...?
Nick: I-
Kevin: Okay were here.
Nick: Never mind. *got out of the car.*
Laura: *Sighed. Whispered* Thank you.

Inside the party.

Cody: Hey there she is...Does she have a boyfriend?
Maddie: I don't think so she never mentioned one. *they walked up to them* Hey!
Cody: Hey Laura!
Laura: Hey guys. These are my friends Kayla, Jess, Joe, Kevin and Nick.
Maddie: Nice to meet everyone I'm Maddie and this is Cody.
Cody: Hey. *looked stright at Nick.*
Nick: Hey. * It was like a staring contest but who would win? It was obvious Cody had a crush on Laura and he wasn't
going to let her go so easy without a "fight"* Nice to meet you.
