THANKS PAM, LOVED U WHEN I WAS YOUNGER @ HOME IN ANTRIM, THANKS FOR THINKING OF US IRISH, KEEP UP THE SINGIN CLASSES

Does anyone know the song Pam unsuccessfully wooed Rod Hull with? Sad to think it didn't work. What a lovely couple they would have been. And no doubt Pam would have been strict about climbing on roofs...a tragedy could have been averted.

@BridieGallagherTV agreed

This is a real gem, beautifully song and with very sympathetic instrumentation.

@maureenchesnut She didn't write this, it's a traditional Irish ballad

i've just heard that Pam used this song to woo Rod Hull into a romantic tryst. Apparently he was fond of gulls too. Can anyone confirm this?

ididn't think pam would do justice to a margaret barry song - but she did - fair play to you pam!

She's lovely - always has been.

I rember back in 1975 when she appeared on opportunity knocks and her lovely wry sence of humour as a poet but she is also a lovely singer !!

this is lovely. I like all her poems about gulls but this is my favourite. I remember watching this live on TV back in the early 80s. It seems funny that a still image and a folk tune counted for entertainment back then, but I remember millions of us tuned in to watch Pam that night. Lovely stuff.
Actually, I stuck the still image onto this. Sorry it came out so badly.
