@FaultlessDark hehehehehehehe you can't feel in the CW mode, but interrupted with a low frequency like in this video.... terrible pain
-
It generates a huge voltage at a low wattage, so the the amperage, which is what will hurt badly, is diminished a lot. But still dangerous to the untrained.

See, now I'm all kinds of angry. I lived not 8 blocks from the Quad and I MISSED THIS!
-
@FaultlessDark and there is a rumour here in the UK that wanking can send you blind too !

@FaultlessDark just because you say something do's not mean it true yes that much electric is bad if you are not grounded right if you are part of a circuit and your not touching the ground any amount of can go electricity true you and be fine watch modern marvels sometime and tesla had one that powered his workplace in Chicago the whole time he worked there. it would power light bulbs up to a full mile away in his hand with now problem he wanted to power the whole world with them.

@OfficialDjEata I so very much agree with that!

I would LOVE to see these things play DUBSTEP, like Snack Attack from 12th planet. On the drop the crowd would have to either take off running, or the power of dubstep would kill you where you stand.

Yes, the plasma is very hot. These coils I believe are pulling around 8000 watts each, so that's a lot of heat. The reason you won't feel the shoching pain if you get hit is because the streamer is of a very high frequency. What happens is what's called the skin effect. What this means is that because the frequency of the electricity is so high it cannot penetrate the surface and travels only in the outermost layers of your skin, and never penetrates to the nerves- so no sensation of pain.

@itsanthonyhere ...I can hear a tune...

Unfortunately, Tesla coils are harmful, It's just that the electricity generated by the coils is so high that the nerves in your body don't register the sensation of pain, although the threat of tissue damage is still very real.
