Amazing the way Brel influenced so many people around the world! He's probably the only french-singing artist whose work has had that effect on so many people!!

He's the greatest singer of all time!

No offense, but I personally hate Leanord Cohen's original Hallelujah because, from what I've seen and heard, he tends not to sing or sings very off beat

I did a report on Jacque Brel for a French Project. He - like Lenard Cohen, I believe - are uncoverable.

But I like this version, accordian just goes better with this song.

Mediocre cover, but no covers that I've heard compare to Brel's original passionate version. I think it's one instance where the sounds of the language play a huge role -- the English version is missing something.

that`s a cover, a cover of Brel`s song as all the others including Bowie`s. they are just renditions. give some credit to Brel, damn
