@tdennler1 if you go to sytrus and look at the octave (the numbers) you can make it a fifth by turning it to the half (1.5, 2.5, etc.) thats one of the easier ways to incorparate a fifth onto the tone. he doesn't mention thirds either xD

when I lay my dubstep it sounds really weak :/ it's good when I'm pressing the notes it's jut on playback

thanks for the vid its helped a lot. at about 9:18 you say "youre not gonna go wrong with the fifth of the key", what do you mean by that?

@tdennler1 music scales generally have 8 notes. if you have a base note to your music the fifth, in this sense, is 7 notes up from your root (base) note. so if you had a song in the key of C the 5th would be G.
