@DOBERMAN7203 the reason why: a spike drilled down the sideline at 3:55, a fireball down the same sideline at 4:00 would have sealed the point. excellent power on the spike but poor choice of placement, and excellent placement on the forehand but should have put all he had into it

Two of the greatest serve and volley stylists of all time. Mac slightly past his prime at the time of this match. The play at 3:47-4:06 you just don't see that type of play anymore with racquet designed to hit 140 mph. 80's tennis and 80's NBA (Bird/Magic) RIP
