While the rest of the world partied last New Years I was in a swampy San Diego Yoga class practicing Vinyasa (much more fun than it sounds) and performing an acoustic set. That was the first time I played my concoction, "Imagine+One". I was struck by how perfectly the 2 songs married and surprised that they hadn't been played together before; just add A minor to Lennon's verse and voila! Good friend and master cellist, Steve Velez, visited my studio to make the recording special. This is our session together.

I've always felt that One was my generation's version of Imagine. Most people think that's a stupid opinion but whatever. I think this is really cool and I'd love it if U2 stole your idea and recorded this themselves and threw it on an album as a bonus "hidden" track ala Fast Cars on HTDAAB. Awesome idea, awesome performance man.
