@MrLewisMHarris The name "Apple" came from the legend of Isaac Newton. As he was observing an apple fall from a tree, he was inspired to study the properties of what we call the Laws of Gravity. In fact, the original Apple Co. logo is a depiction of Newton sitting under the apple tree, just as genius struck him. Macintosh (Mcintosh) is a type of apple.
