http://www.A3Network.com Paul van Dyk Talks To A3 Network! Paul van Dyk released his fifth studio album, In Between, worldwide on August 14, 2007. The album, which he created over a three-year period, debuted at number #115 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Billboard's Top Electronic Albums and Top Heatseekers. The album also reached #16 on the Mexican Albums Chart and #5 on the Mexican International Chart. The album was released accompanied by a special edition limited to two thousand copies which included a mixed version of the full album, along with an eight-track bonus CD and an eight-page photo anthology. Paul van Dyk in El Salvador - The album was produced primarily by Paul van Dyk himself, and features a wide range of collaborators including David Byrne of Talking Heads, Jessica Sutta of the Pussycat Dolls, Ashley Tomberlin from Luminary, Alex M.O.R.P.H, Lo Fi Sugar, Rea Garvey of Reamonn, Ryan Merchant and Wayne Jackson. It also features a vocal sample from Ben Lost from Probspot's "Blows My Mind" on the song "Another Sunday". In June 2007, Paul van Dyk embarked on the worldwide "In Between Tour" to promote the album. Paul van Dyk hosts a show on Radio Fritz every Saturday at 20:00 GMT. In his latest gigs, he blurs the line between DJ'ing and live performance engineering by utilizing two 17" MacBook Pro laptops sporting Mainstage (Logic 8 Pro) and Ableton Live software on both, two MIDI keyboards, enabling a more fully-featured club experience more akin to a concert than a standard night out at a dance club. On-the-fly remixes, mashups and compositions are just some of the capabilities of this new performance method. In May 2008, Paul van Dyk set up a remix competition with digital download network Beatport.com, inviting aspiring producers to remix his single 'Far Away' which appeared on his 2007 album 'In Between'. Paul has recently appeared as one of the DJs at Trance Energy 2009.

As a Grammy nominated artist and internationally acclaimed DJ, Paul van Dyk has spent the better part of his career dominating the electronic music charts. Appearing at the pinnacle of every Top DJ list across the globe, he recently graced the No. 1 spot for two consecutive years, bringing his reign to a span of seven years in all. But of course his stellar reputation comes as no surprise to the legions of dance music aficionados lining up every night to hear his floor scorching sets. In 2007 Paul released his latest artist album "In Between" which has already been a massive global success with worldwide performances from Montreal to Moscow. Spawning numerous hits and featuring collaborations with artists such as the legendary David Byrne of the Talking Heads and Jessica Sutta of the Pussycat Dolls that have been burning up dance floors and rocking bedrooms all across the globe.

2008 sees the release of his latest DJ mix compilation in honour of legendary club night Cream at Anmesia Ibiza. Paul's relationship with Cream and Ibiza spans more than 10 years and is highlighted by having compiled and mixed the 10th anniversary Cream Ibiza album. Reflecting his famous DJ sets at Amnesia, Cream's spiritual home, this album is the real sound of the island over two CDs taking various genres of electronic music but always maintaining the Paul van Dyk vibe.

  • Mr. Van Dyk is one of the most interesting producers I've seen! He combines so many elements to his work, and he reveals another level of music. You inspire all up and comming performers, including myself :)

  • Paul has been the motivation of many generations of artists. He may be playing now boring but mature music, not as energetic as before and i do not follow but i still consider him the best trance/dance pioneer.

The best psytrance artists today like Astrix openly accepts PVD was his main motivation. PVD supported also the best oldstyle talented artists of trance like NUNRG, Second Sun, Thrillseekers, Lange, Askew. He showed us that in trance you can always innovate the sound.

  • thats for sticking up for God.

    fuck u ahsen

  • This is the God himself that walks the earth...he moves soooo many people in the world and puts his feelings and emotions into music, and yet makes it so melodic and ENERGETIC, hes amazing.

  • fuck you man for talkin shit on a god...
