  • What about 8% of 53.46??

  • @missSamiiii Get 1% first by dividing by 100 so 53.46 divided by 100 = 0.5346. As this is 1%, you now need to times by 8. One way of doing this is to double it, double it again and then double it one more time (x2, x4 x8).

  • i had never been able to do this before in my life cus the teachers are so rubish at explaining it, but u made it s clear to understand, cus u dont rush through it, good job!

  • @millmill02

    Thank you.

  • you're a great teacher and all... and i understood it clearly... but let's say i'm in a restaurant and i'm tipping the waiter 15% of my bill? i need to do it fast of course, why can't i just get a tissue paper and pen then have 840 divided by .15? that'll be faster don't you think? best of all, i didn't use a calculator.

  • @iSh0uldBeStudying

You need to make sure you MULTIPLY by the 0.15 rather than divide otherwise you'll give a 5600 tip!
