@MarinaMaxwellYuy PErhaps it happened when her husband stopped being just a charming, handsome husband and friend and then ended up having ot make hard choices when it came to following the orders of Henry. She was happy to see Anne Boleyn destroyed, which I find ironic. She told him to be careful adn then destroy Anne when he had the chance, but unusually upset about this. Perhaps it's because she was a mother of her own child, but still....

@MarinaMaxwellYuy Amazing, really amazing how nasty Catherine was to Brigitte and along with everyone else there, including the Priests, supposed Christians. I mean, Charles worked to be a good husband and then Catherine acts all holy about Charles having to end up following Henry's orders to slaughter more.

I really agree with you; I don't think that Catherine understood just what he had to do and just how hostile Henry could be to those who refused to do his will. Henry was king and had absolute power and it was easy for her ot be so self righteous when she wasn't the one who had to do the dirty work. Charles did initially the right thing, punish those genuinely responsible while Henry sickeningly demanded more.

I hate how Catherine turned her back to Charles! Didn't she say to him in season 2 to keep his head litteraly? He just did what he had to survive! He did what he had to do to protect his family! And he blames himself for this slaughtering in which he had been powerless! But no, Mrs Brandon acts like a selfish person while her husband needs her to recover from this mental wound! No wonder why they lived seperately in season 4! Damn!

I confess, I am a Margaret fan, so I never like Catherine, but she and Charles had some sweet moments.
