Donkey Kong Land 3 - Clifftop Critters in 0:58:47

This is a video of the Game Boy game Donkey Kong Land 3. When you beat all the levels and bosses, you get to play a Time Attack mode (although it only includes 12 out of 36 levels, one for each archetype). You have to beat all the required times in order to get 103%. Getting items like bananas and Bear Coins do nothing in Time Attack mode. Also, star, warp, and bonus barrels are gone in Time Attack mode. If you die, you have to start over. There are no lives in this mode.

This video shows the Clifftop Critters, a cliff level. It somewhat resembles the cliff levels in Donkey Kong Country 3.

This is one of the more impressive speed runs I have made, where I try to know exactly where I am going and therefore, move as perfectly and swiftly as possible. This one took me more practice than most of the other levels here...

At 0:19:48 into the level (not the video) I mess up a bit by hitting the vertical rope. This makes me lose a second or two, as I was supposed to fall down to the right of it.

I hate the Buzz I come across at around 0:43:68 into the level. When I was practicing this, it took me numerous tries to find out how to zip by it without losing time. The best way that I could find was to go left into the vertical rope, and descend. If that Buzz wasn't in the way, I'd skip the vertical rope entirely.

At around 52 seconds I INTENTIONALLY hit a Klasp. This saves ample time. For me not to hit it, I would have to lose some seconds dodging all the Klasps (and they're in unpredictable places). So hitting it saves more time than dodging it. Besides, when I hit it, I switch to Kiddy, which makes it easier to deal with that annoying Krumple at the end.

I thought this cart was only in japanese. Is this an American version?

Nope, it was released in English as well (in fact, it came out in America and Europe years before it did in Japan). Only Japan got a GBC version, though, which is probably why you're confused.
