@ArmorGuitarCompany Thanks for the help again. I have been maintaining the humidity in my office now for a good while, waiting for the room's moisture to catch up.. Seems about there. I went out today and picked up the Oasis OH-5 humidifier.. Case is reading back 74-75 F, and humidity is hovering around 45-50%. Hopefully after another week my guitar beefs back up and plays beautifully again. Cheers!

Solid body electric guitars are also susceptible to humidity and temperature changes but are not as drastically affected. The key thing to remember is long term conditions of low or high humidity as well as sudden drastic changes in temperature and humidity can pose a potential threat to any musical instrument.
Thanks for the question

is electric guitars sensitive to humidity changes?
I am in the Minneapolis area and every winter the humidity gets very low.. I keep my guitar in it's case and humidify the office room I store them in.. Temperature ranges from 70F-75F and humidity from 35%-50% when running my humidifier. I want to get a decent case humidifier but not sure what to get. Every product has at least a few bad reviews, but maybe those are just one-off experiences. What do you recommend? Planet Waves.. Oasis.. Dampit? It's for a satin finish Epi Masterbilt. Thanks!

All of the above mentioned humidifiers are capable of getting the job done. I'm probably more a fan of the ones that don't touch the guitar itself but hang from the strings. The key is to follow the directions properly so as not to create water damage to the guitar. Good luck and thanks for the question.

@ArmorGuitarCompany Thanks for the response. Should I not be as concerned about keeping this office at 40-50% humidity when using a case humidifier? Or does the case humidifier not perform as it should, when say the room falls down into the 25-30% humidity range? I am very cautious these days, as I am about to pick up a mid-level priced Martin soon and don't want to destroy a $1500.00 guitar. Hehe. Thanks in advance again it's great talking to someone with experience.

It's possible but not likely that you would over-saturate the guitar. The more humidity in the air would slow down the evaporation from the humidifier. You can pick up a small digital humidity and temperature gauge for less than 10 bucks form Walmart or the hardware store to keep in the case. That should let you know if the humidity is running too high in the case so you can adjust accordingly. Good Luck
