Jeff, a father and elementary school teacher, shares his personal perspective. Jeff says that he doesn't agree with the Governor on everything, but thanks to his budget reforms hundreds of teachers like him still have their jobs.
I'm sorry for all the negative comments you must be receiving. It must be very lonely being the one person in the state who has not been negatively impacted by Walker. I know that I have lost 32 human rights under his administration. How lucky you must feel to have escaped that!
I hope you will understand when the rest of us work to get him out of office to help end the very real pain that he has inflicted upon us. Never before have I been embarrassed to be a Wisconsinite--until Walker.
I'm okay with the payment for pensions, but Jeff, I am sorry about your misinformation. Taking money away from something never allows you to do MORE. 2 minus 1 does not equal five. That's just a fact. 500 Million in education cuts. 500 Million in tax-breaks and benefits for corporations. I don't think that is right.
well lets see, we don't need scool busses!! rural parents can drive there students to and from school every day. carpool to sporting events, not to mention field trips. this would free up plenty of cash.
I grew up riding the bus to school every day, so before you reply no I don't think this a solution but it is the single minded laser cutting tax savings that is hard to take, why didn't Walker suggest EVERY state employee take a 10% pay cut, everyone top down would take a little sting.
@ge556 So you don't think that when the unions are gone some at will employees will be fired to make up for budget short falls and make bigger class sizes? Or pay cuts etc... Who needs a source its common sense stuff, we all know whats going to happen, more people will be out of work
@matt8205 I'm guessing you don't know what you're talking about, but I can't tell what you're talking about, or who you are calling a moron. What big changes are happening January 1st, and what is your source?
His superintendent says the opposite. Mmmm...someone is not telling the truth.
