@GedUK Lol, BBC used to tape over well loved tv shows so they could save money on tapes. I don't think they've ever cared about the quality of their programming.

@BritGirlJay I agree, the combination of Rimmer, Lister, Cat and Kryten was perfect, all of them had brilliant actors and were hilarious to watch, but Rimmer really was the heart and soul of Red Dwarf, he had the most complexity to his character, had the funniest lines along with Kryten, and looking at Series 7 it really feels like something was missing without him.

@BunnaySango You can only come up with one and it is only in recent history? I can come up with 107 including 3 different versions of Fawlty Towers. The US has been consistently doing this since the 60's and consistently making crappier versions of the UK product.
Besides, who shoved the stick up your arse? I was only answering a person's question about an American remake of red dwarf. Don't get your Red, White and Blue panties in a twist.
