From the episode "Deserted", just after Val's "suicide" attempt. Everyone is trying to comfort her and show her they care, most suprisingly Abby. Also, clearly it was not for show, as they were alone together in Karen's kitchen. If tuning in to the series for the first time, you'd confuse them for best friends. This almost makes you forget the incident that made them mortal enemies six years prior. It is in this scene their relationship comes full circle, and it has to be one of my favorite moments in the series.

@adelgado75 This was right after Val got out of the hospital after Jill tried to kill her by forcing her to swallow sleeping pills. Everyone thought that Val had tried to commit suicide, though, and Val was very upset because nobody believed her when she said that Jill tried to kill her. Val and Abby were at Karen's house because Michael and Paige, who were kidnapped in Mexico, came home. Abby was trying to be nice and help Val. Also, Abby's daughter Olivia had recently tried to commit suicide.

That's why I liked Abby's character. She could be the worst villain but you could see she still had somewhat of a heart........

I am surprised to see these characters together like this. What was reason for Val and Abby together this way? I didn't watch the show much.

It was Steve Shaw (Eric Fairgate) who committed suicide in 1990. Very sad.

I love this! It's a bit surreal, hearing Pat Peterson say how great it is to be alive, when he commited suicide awhile back. Such a waste of talent
